The School of Choice / l'Ecole de Choix partners with Haitians to educate and develop Haitian youth to lead their communities, Haiti and the world. We are a progressive, high quality leadership development education program in Mirebalais, Haiti that serves nearly 300 Haitian youth, consisting of an intentionally equal ratio of girls and boys living in conditions of extreme poverty. Our program was founded as a replicable model of an elementary (1st through 6th grade) school where all students learn in an environment infused with values of respect and accountability, and honoring Haiti’s strong historic values of liberty and dignity. Choix not only demonstrates year-over-year academic success and immediate economic impact through fair wages to its 99% Haitian staff, but also prepares Haitian youth with critical thinking skills to equip them effectively for their responsibilities as future leaders.
